words by: CJ Sanchez

I opened my eyes,
the room was too dark and dusty
I was soaked with sweat,
but it’s cold like a winter.

they are taunting me,
I can’t escape them,
I can’t escape the killer.Β

I thought I was free,
but the truth is
I am not,
and I will never be.

I want to go out,
but my two pale feet were chained.
I said, I’ll never stop fighting them,
but they just grinned at me.

In order to be free,
you have to kill yourself.

It’s just an awful nightmare isn’t?
Tomorrow, I’ll wake up with peaceful mind,
with blissful thoughts.
But it’s not a dream not even a fantasy,

the demons were creating ruckus inside my head,
they were speaking raucously,
their obstreperous laughter
Drives me crazy.

In order to be free,
I have to kill myself
I asked them,
Why is it always me?

I was just an innocent child,
I used to be happy,
I used to smile a lot,
but now, I’m tired.

      1. Thank you Ma’am. Thank you 1000x! πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– You gave me another reason why I should continue to write and express my thoughts through writing. There are times that I feel like I am not confident enough but it’s good that a professional writer like you recognized me. Thank you ma’am. You’re an amazing writer, I hope you’ll continue to inspire those people who want to be a professional writer as well.

      2. Everyone faces some or the other insecurity. That does not gives us the right to stop trying amf hoping to fulfil our dreams. We should fail and learn from our ecperiences always and then begin with much faith and hard work.

  1. Your words made me want to hold you and tell you you are never alone and God is always with you and is stronger than such negative forces and just cry with you. Love you. Write on, live on. ❀
