TABULA RASA

I wasn’t dumb nor ignorant,
I chose not to know everything,
I chose to close my eyes,
I chose not to listen.

Books will provide knowledge
truly, you can learn everywhere
But you don’t have to dig deeper
into the unfathomable void of information.

Your wit and knowledge might be a gift
but knowledge is also destruction.
You are not born to learn everything in this world
You are not supposed to read the books that you are not interested at.

It’s okay to be dimwitted ,
Sometime your ignorance will save you,
If you know too much,
you might kill yourself.

In case you don’t know what a tabula rasa is; it is actually a Latin phrase which often translated as “blank slate”.

” In Locke’s philosophy, tabula rasa was the theory that at birth the (human) mind is a “blank slate” without rules for processing data, and that data is added and rules for processing are formed solely by one’s sensory experiences. The notion is central to Lockean empiricism.”
