SILENT SCREAM

The once luscious leaves
are now withered,
the once elated visage
is now staled,
Oh! it was me, it was me
Do you still remember how I used to be?
Words that I’ve pondered whether I shall express
in this oblivious world, I was voiceless
I want to be free!
from these morbid thoughts who chained me,
if only I can run, I will choose to
but no… I can’t
these hulking beasts are too strong,
I could not escape them,
they are real… monsters are real
they live inside me,
sometimes they win,
sometimes, I am one of them.
